App Reviews

  • They need to hire better developers.

So I used the app and the amount of bugs is pretty outrageous. It keeps prompting me to log into an account when I open the app and it took forever for pictures to stick in the app.
  • Too many bugs

Apps seems to be poorly developed. Have it set of auto renew and it continuously does not provide me full access each week until I message the help desk multiple times. This has been going on for months now and they completely disregard my request to fix the app and sometimes takes days for them to grant me with full access again even though I’ve been paying for full access the whole time. They have yet to even offer a simple sorry. I don’t understand how a company runs like this.

Tried to put up an ad for a room in renting in my apartment, and after I took my time to fill out all the questions, pictures about the room, descriptions and such it wouldn’t let me save the ad despite my four attempts. Ended up erasing the app (obviously) #AnnoyingExperience
  • Total scam

This app is a scam. They go on Craigslist and post fake and misleading ads to get you pay for a $8 weekly subscription. It’s fraudulent and misleading. Not to mention that you can only scroll through listings there is no option to search an isolated area.
  • Ridiculous charges

$7.99 just to message a person? This app is not "free". Why the hell would I want to create a listing for free and not be able to message people about it? No thanks, I'd rather use Craigslist for ACTUAL free.

This app is a f-ing ripoff. You HAVE TO SUBSCRIBE for $7 something dollars for 5 days of access to your messages. And when you try to update/ write in the description section of your post with your phone number it auto deletes it. For example. I wanted to leave my contact number for anyone who had an offer for a room. I had about 14 messages but I could only view messages if subscribed. when I tried to leave my contact number it auto deleted my number leaving my message as “please contact me at______” and my number is not there. F-ing rip off of an app

To be honest this app is really cool and fun to use but if your actually serious about finding a place or someone to fill a place it gonna cost you and it not even cheap 7.99 a WEEK that’s about 32 a month this app should rethink messaging for a penny this app no longer useful once you put that ridiculous price on it thanks for making me waste my time downloading.

I’ve used this app 2 separate times looking for roommates. I’ve never found anyone on here that actually worked out - but I believe that’s mainly because the app nickel + dimes you for 🥁🥁🥁 2-WAY COMMUNICATION 🙀🤯 So you can view all the potential roommates you want ANNND you can even message them to let them know you’re interested (lucky us🥂). Here’s the kicker: If THEY haven’t upgraded - they’ll never be able to read your message. If they have upgraded and message you back - then YOU won’t be able to read their message until you upgrade as well. So for the most part it’s just a bunch of ONE WAY CONVERSATIONS that Roomster is getting paid for.... because like a dumb-dumb, I upgraded both times because I actually wanted to find a roommate. I then tried to delete my subscription once we had found someone elsewhere and their “24/7 live support” was the most unprofessional “help” I’ve ever seen. I asked how to cancel my subscription and they said repeatedly told me to contact Apple to assist me... How can an app with a help line not be able to help the most basic of questions?! I asked again for simple instructions and I was sent back a link - clicked the link and it took me to Roomster’s product page Amazon... So I told the Support line how frustrated I was with the situation and their lack of help and did my best to delete anything associated with Roomster. Turns out... it still wasn’t enough and I just found out they have been charging me for the past 5 weeks! Thank God my husband is tech savvy and figured out how to delete the subscription piece. I will never use this app again. I will never recommend this app to anyone I know. I honestly will go out of my way to share how disappointing this app is... I get that apps have bugs and development kinks - but the very least a paying customer expects is basic support from the freaking support line. Truly the worst. Have never left a review before - but this was worth writing if it saves other people from watching their money get sucked down the drain while the app company won’t tell you how to cancel 👌

They sent a message via their app message telling me they would renew the contract after 5 days and charge me 24.95. It’s a scam. Don’t sign up. I called my bank and they are filing a claim.
