Pokémon GO iOS App Details

Join Trainers across the globe who are discovering Pokémon as they explore the world around them. The newest update to Pokémon GO, the global gaming sensation that has been downloaded over 750 million times and named “Best Mobile Game” by The Game Developers Choice Awards and “Best App of the Year” by TechCrunch, introduced a revamped Gym gameplay experience, including the opportunity to join together with others to battle against powerful Pokémon in the new Raid Battle feature! Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu, and many other Pokémon have been discovered! Now’s your chance to discover and capture the Pokémon all around you—so get your shoes on, step outside, and explore the world. You’ll join one of three teams and battle for the ownership of Gyms with your Pokémon at your side. Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away! Search far and wide for Pokémon and items Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment—look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans. Visit PokéStops and Gyms—found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments—to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items. Catching, hatching, evolving, and more As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk. Help your Pokémon evolve by catching many of the same kind. Choose a Buddy Pokémon to walk with and earn Candy that will help you make your Pokémon stronger. Take on Gym battles and defend your Gym As your Charmander evolves to Charmeleon and then Charizard, you can battle together to defeat a Gym and assign your Pokémon to defend it against all comers. You can also participate in Raid Battles at Gyms around the world. A Raid Battle is a cooperative gameplay experience that encourages you to work with up to 20 other Trainers to defeat an extremely powerful Pokémon known as the Raid Boss. If you succeed in defeating it in battle, you’ll have the chance to catch an extra powerful Pokémon of your own! It’s time to get moving—your real-life adventures await! • Poké-Go addicted.

    By AMLfnf
Once they figure out all the overloaded servers/freezing/bugs, it's a 5 star app for sure! People are meeting new people at lure parties, everyone is up out and walking, and it's all super enjoyable. Figuring out everything is a bit confusing at first, but Google and friends can help to explain how everything works. Update: Still poké-crazed. Got an apple watch for Christmas and was psyched PoGo was an app for it. Updated my review to reflect the lameness of the watch app. My app crashes frequently, It fails to notify me of Pokestops and they don't pop up for me to spin. Also, I haven't been getting notifications of hatched eggs. It does track distance well for my eggs/buddy though. For a brief period it notified me of stops and hatches and stops showed up for me to spin, but as of lately, NOTHING. PLEASE FIX THIS!
  • Ex raid passes

    By Evictionizer
I know I can't say this for everyone but for a majority of people. The way Niantic is handling the ex raid passes is completely unfair. The system itself is stupid. I haven't stopped playing this game ever since it came out, and once raids and legendary raids were released I was raiding nonstop and always have been. I've done 200+ legendary raids, but I know people who have done far more than me some 400-500 legendary raids and me nor them haven't gotten a pass yet. Originally it was stated that once Mewto was released after the Yokohama event you had to have successfully completed a raid at a gym recently it wasn't specific. Then all of a sudden it was select areas, then Sprint gyms, and finally Starbucks. Nobody knew, but I'm sure it was speculated. Plus not only that, but a wide number of low level players are getting passes some that weren't able to beat Mewto with their groups, others one I know of that literally started playing the game a month ago and already got an ex raid pass, and some have gotten multiple ex raid passes while others don't even have a single one yet. I'm level 38 almost 39 and I play with all level 35+ players whom 95% of them don't have a pass and have raided just as much as me and more. I don't understand the logic of this at all I don't know when Mewto will be released entirely for everyone else. They should've kept the beta testing for those 30-35+ like when raids first came out not for people who barely even play or just started out
  • Needs a bit of improvement for iOS11

    By HaonTheDemonAngel
My Pokémon go plus was nearly useless when I went outside for a good walk, the app closing without telling me my session was over. You already kill your phone battery having Bluetooth on but I at least don’t want to waste time not knowing if it’s being used or not.

.......No trading, pvp, or fixes to the worst battery draining app in the app store. The battery drains way too much even on all the settings that reduces battery drainage on both the phone and the app, it's inexcusable. I'm done complaining about how much this company is beyond the worst. I'm not downloading any of their games, and I won't come back to this game until Niantic, firstly fixes the battery drainage problem to where it's supposed to drain on a normal game percentage rather than high, and until Niantic gets their $h!7 together. Niantic gets NO money from me. You hear me Niantic, you get nothing, you lose, good day sirs!
  • You robbed me

    By Thanatos from 280
You told me to go to an EX raid and no one was there. I drove there, waited 30 minutes, and drove home. Do you want us to cheat? If I were a spoofer I could have just appeared there! Is this what everyone else did? Why am I the only one you suckered? In fact, this is a crime called bate and switch. You told me people would come and they didn't. You need to change something, now. A) Fix the EX raids (invite more people, shorten the times, etc) B) End the raids C) "Insure" the raids If I go there and fail - fine, that's on me. But if you lie to me that's on you. If I go there and no one else does you owe me something because I did not do this on my own. Regular raids are my choice, I choose where and when and even if. You are coercing players with these new raids and then are failing to meet your promises. Respond to my issues or enjoy your 1 star. I have given this game 5 starts for over a year. But what's the point now? Clearly you don't respect your own players. You are encouraging cheating, robbing players, and technically breaking the law. Fix your face and respond to my complaint.
  • Almost done, now done

    By Stewboy1962
Well, I'm close to being done playing again. I, like others, am a solo player and with the new raids are shut out of the legendary Pokemon. I cannot win a raid against a legendary by myself. I don't have a group I can call and not enough people show up. How about a 50km legendary egg for solo players can get them?? I have all Pokemon I can catch except unown and Miltank. I have walked everything. Many kilometers. I paid for incubators and that's it. Now I have to pay more for raids?? Nope, I'm done. You've excluded me and others like me, solo players and rural players. It's turning into a pay to win game. I do like this game but now I have no reason to play!! I'm glad you're making money, it's great. But don't lose what the game is about, gotta catch them all, not pay for them all. Update: well, the first round of legendary Pokemon came and went. I saw them but had zero chance to get them. Once, and only once, two other people showed up to battle Zapdos. No luck, we couldn't defeat it. All the other times, I was by myself, even at a community college. Now you're going to release the Beasts the same stupid way. So now I can add them to my list of unobtainable Pokemon. Thanks Niantic for excluding me AGAIN!! I guess it's time for me to delete the game and quit. I have caught 231 Pokemon. I think the raid system is horrible and excludes many loyal players. The only ones I want during a raid are the legendary Pokemon, nothing else. I walked many miles and hatched over 1300 eggs. Now I have nothing to catch and am completely aggravated and frustrated by the raid system and the only way to catch legendary Pokemon. I understand they are legendary Pokemon and should not be easy, but I have zero chance. Love the game, hate raids and the legendary release. Update 2: no reason to play. Raids are worthless , no one else around for legendary raids. Spawns are crap. Nothing new or worth catching. If something doesn't change soon I'll just delete the game. Niantic does not care about solo or rural players. All talk, no change. Should be enjoying the game but can't anymore. I stopped playing for over two weeks now. Final update: due to the way the game is now, I've decided on my final word. DELETE
  • Great game!... when it actually works

    By TworldsMember
This game has so much potential but it keeps putting me in either a never ending loading screen, freezing my game once I’m in it, or saying it’s failed to sign me in and repeating that message every time I click retry. It’s unplayable for me in Ta current state and I’m running the newest IOS on an IPhone 7 Plus with no memory issues or connectivity issues other than this game. Fix. Your. Game.

  • Too much

    By ColbsBulbs
Perhaps it would be worth playing, if the game actually made the legendaries more catchable. Quit ripping people off. Crooks!
