Rehearsal® Pro App Details

Rehearsal® Pro is the app for actors! Want to learn your lines? Want to be off-book, and book more work? Rehearsal® Pro is the app for that. Its predecessor, Rehearsal® 2, featured in the New York Times, Fast Company, LA Magazine and BACKSTAGE, became the entertainment industry standard for cast and crew to organize their scripts for auditions and working on set. Battle tested in Hollywood and around the world by professional actors and acting students. And now, there's Rehearsal® Pro. "I love this app! Rehearsal® lets me learn my lines in the car while I drive to work. It already saved my butt when I was thrown a major new dialogue scene 45 minutes before we started shooting it. I plugged the new scene into Rehearsal and I was off book by the time I got out of the make up chair." -Clark Gregg (Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Desperate Housewives, New Adventures of Old Christine) "I am very pleased with the results of using Rehearsal® so far. It is a powerful tool in preparing for auditions, or for days of work, especially when I am pressed for time. It is easy to use and I have no doubt that as it evolves, it will be a part of my work process for a long time." -John Carroll Lynch (Shutter Island, Dexter, The Drew Carey Show, Body of Proof) Rehearsal® Pro is - extremely easy to use, solid and reliable - intuitive: it reminds you of what you do with physical scripts - usable with any current iOS device, and syncs script markup between all of them - costs one low price for unlimited usage For actors from every walk of life and all areas of accomplishment: - works with short audition sides, to feature length scripts - easily handles physical scripts by bursting and scanning to PDF - for every actor at any skill level, student, amateur or professional - for every actor in every arena, from community theater, commercial, industrial, stage, web, VO, television, and film - get help with on-board demo videos that show you how to do nearly everything Manage your scripts easily: - Sync scripts between your devices - Manage scanned-in scripts for theater productions - Rotate, crop, collate and tint your pages - add physical scripts by snapping pictures of pages - create bookmarks and easily jump to a particular page - work with the same PDF and Word files you get on your computer - easily break down your script into your scenes - reading your script is a snap - just flick and scroll Learn your lines quickly: - highlight your lines and your scene partners' lines in vibrant colors - record your lines and play them back, watching the script scroll by like a teleprompter - quickly fast forward or rewind to pick up lines simply - record unlimited versions of scenes, exploring your character and creating new reads - automatically repeat your scene over and over until you know your lines cold - group multi-scene auditions into one repeating scene - pause recording and playback - play peekaboo to memorize - reveal your lines in blackout mode - quickly add beat marks to longer passages Explore your characters - easily create and review comments: text, audio, photo or video - record different takes on lines, different looks for characters - have all your choices at your fingertips for instant review Special features just for voice talent - audition for voiceover work from anywhere - email in your auditions as MP3 files from anywhere to anyone Everyone on the production team can use Rehearsal® Pro - location scouts can create quick and easy reports - makeup, wardrobe, set dressers: keep track of continuity and looks from scene to scene - directors and cinematographers: plan shots and create on-the-fly storyboards Rehearsal® Pro was created by a working actor just like you, David H. • Please update and fix bugs!

    By Ian Jesse
I was an early backer for the fund to create Rehearsal Pro 2 because of how much I loved the original and how useful it was, unfortunately this new version is so full of glitches and problems that it is basically unusable. It’s extremely difficult to highlight anything and won’t even let me record at all. I’m going to keep it on my device for now in hopes that it will get an update that fixes all of the bugs but it’s very upsetting that an app that I once loved using has fallen so far to what it is now. PLEASE FIX!
  • Great app!

This app will help you improv your craft just because it is so easy to practice. Thank you for being camera/microphone accessible.
  • Decent, but doesn’t support iPhone X

    By novelchoice
I use this app a lot but since upgrading to the iPhone X I’ve found it incredibly difficult to use. The app is not optimized for the larger screen as the playback options are right on top of the swipe bar. When I do manage to move the sliders to pick a chunk of the script to rehearse, the app bugs out and just keeps beeping at me. I have to exit the recording and renter it to reset it. Extremely annoying when you have 30 pages of script to memorize. Please fix!
  • Once a great app, but no more...

    By BertR280
Upgraded to the newest version and immediately regretted it. Highlighting was easy in the old version, frustrating and difficult in the new version. There are lines in my script that won’t even take highlighting, which then negates the blackout function. Instead of adding more bells and whistles, how about making sure the basics work for me? I’m moving on to something else ☹️
  • Family sharing issues

Waaaay too expensive for what it offers Also ive been attempting for a week to access the app on a 2nd device to no avail With little help from the co and 2 emails to Apple It is a shame because i actually do need it to learn lines im having better luck with voice recorder on my iphone
  • Too bad...was a fave but not reliable anymore

    By Michaeltk100
I love this app, I rely on it 3-5 times a week. It’s a great rehearsal tool. However, the newest update literally won’t even let me use the app, as it crashes within seconds of opening it. I’ve tried restarting my phone, closing the app, I even deleted and redownloaded. Most of my actor friends with the app are having the same issue. Works okay on my iPad, but it’s now literally unusable. Also, PLEASE do something about the lag that occurs when I try to mark up my script in the app!!!!!
  • Great app but update caused problem

    By Kittyfox
I like the ease and convenience of Rehearsal Pro. However, I just installed the update and no the app opens then immediately shuts down. Help!
  • Not worth it.

    By Fuzhed
This app combines the functionality of a PDF reader with a voice recorder. Not much value for the money. Plus interface is awful. I clicked on tutorial and it just takes you to the initial pages when the app launches - no actual tutorial.
  • Very glitchy update did not help

    By paulgreene74
I’ve been using this organ for years. And I rely on it this update is not working. When i record scenes the pages are all messed up audio is there but the script page is different. Please fix
  • Great ideas with flawed implementation

    By Boomshadow
In a world of total coverage free Wi-Fi, Rehearsal Pro would rock. As things stand, the fact that downloaded scenes do not stay downloaded is infuriating. The welcome new features of group scenes and looping playback are more than offset by the deal-breakingly broken new page rendering. The pages scroll ahead of where I had them displayed while recording, or just show up grayed out. I don't know if this is a symptom of the app on iPhone 5s with iOS 11, and I don't care. I'm not buying a new phone to run one app, even one that cost $19.99. For that money, the update should actually have been an improvement.
