    Great app.

The original creator sold out (smart move). He "consults" but new ownership would rather talk "at" people than maintain and improve a once quality product. I'm not the only one that lost data due to this app (see other reviews). New ownership doesn't get it and I'm glad they don't. This product once was good but I suggest anyone thinking about spending money on it keep their money. A better and cheaper option in a different app is coming.

I am new to this app but so far I like it with regards to the calendar part. One problem is I continue to have to go in and reset the weather part. I live in Phoenix Arizona and when it says it’s only going to be 71 with a chance of rain in the month of May I know that is not correct. Every few days I have to go in and put in my ZIP Code so it will have the proper location. Please fix, thanks.
  • A very powerful, Get-It-done App!

5/16/2018. I've had informant for several years. Still one of my top apps, in 'pride-of-place' in my home screen app dock. Support team is very active. There are some problems with its widget but they will fix it for sure. Must have app. It's essentially impossible to communicate all its powers & features in a little review here. Using a separate app for each main work function is one way to go, but a lot of what busy people do is best accomplished by integrating many functions in one place. Informant does this more ambitiously & successfully than any other. If you have quite a number of emails, notes, events, calendars, tasks and projects to 'juggle' in your life in real time, keep all synced over multiple devices, and still want a ton of app customization available, this is the one. To get all its power in your hands, you'll need to subscribe. Something like this needs to be carefully supported, and Informant's support is responsive and capable. Buy it.

I completely concur with the ‘WalrusTexas’ review: I also chose Pocket Informant when I switched from Palm to iPhone because there wasn’t a calendar app out there that could manage all the repeating event/task iterations I need for my 8 life-areas with enough color choices to help visually distinguish them quickly. I’ve been recommending this app highly for years (yes, since Palm bit the dust) and assuring them that the relatively high cost was worth EVERY cent they’d pay for it! However, I too find the roller dial to select appt times cumbersome because the right thumb (my preference in use) tends to hit the ‘most bites’ section when I’m trying to reach over it to pick the hour section. This feature still needs some work. I’ve submitted a suggestion that might solve 90-95% of this problem. Add a button or place to choose “__:00” or “__:30” for the minutes with one tap. 95% of the time appts or tasks are scheduled or rescheduled on the hour or half hour, so this would greatly expedite entries, as I often overshoot the :00 or :30 when I’m using the roller bar 10-20x per day! Thank you in advance for your consideration. Keep up the great work! LOVE this app‼️

Update Reinstalled to see if any improvement has been made. Had to restart my Apple Watch 3 several times to get the complication to show the next scheduled event. Week view is still way too cluttered and very difficult to see. Need the ability to change fonts Obviously there are some good things with this app, but the negatives prevent me from resubscribing. Here's what this app needs and I know it can be done because my app of choice, Calengoo has most of these features: 1. Nagging alarms for events and tasks (yes calengoo has this) 2. More detailed week agenda view (yes calengoo has a far superior week agenda view) 3. Tasks on Apple Watch complication (Fantastical has this) Add these things and I subscribe for year. Until then staying with Calengoo
  • My third, and hopefully last electronic organizer

First, let me say that I like this app, both for Mac and iPhone. It meets all of my needs. One point of interest is that the App Store description does not highlight the notes functionality enough. The notes function is very important to me, and I delayed getting this (for my Mac primarily) because I did not see all that this app offers in this respect. The developers for my previous organizer appear uninterested in my issues with sync and with recurring tasks. This motivated my switch to Informant. Informant offers some common sense functionality that the others did not, like showing a task completed on the completed date instead of the due date, tagging notes, sub tasks and allowing the ability to show (or not) tasks on the various views (i.e., weekly and monthly). I only give four stars at this point because the iPhone subscription is a bit pricey, but if it keeps the developers attentive, then it will be worth the price.

I have used this app for both iPhone and android. I haven’t found it’s equal. 10/10 ⭐️
  • Wow! What a one-star avalanche!

I feel vindicated reading all of the other one-star reviews. I too was a longtime fan and user. The subscription model definitely was a sucker punch to all of the longtime loyal users, which seems to be a sentiment acknowledged by everyone except the developers. The thing is, as others in the one-star parade have pointed out, this new version feels bloated and vastly inferior to the previous versions... and the subscription fee just adds to the sting. Such a shame to see what was once such a stellar first-rate product nosedive into the freemium/subscription bottom barrel of the App Store. A sincere thank you though for all the great years you previously delivered such an awesome product. It will be sorely missed. So sorry it had to come to this for you guys. :(

Going to a $25 a year rental program to turn on some features turns me off.
