  • Disappeared all meetings scheduled and hour-scrolling-bar is annoying

    By MidD8
I have been using pocket informant for 5 years. This last week I had the most awful experience: the app suddenly erased everything that was scheduled. When I decided to check if the reason was the lack of an update, discover the pocket informant 5 with an super annoying feature of scrolling bar to set up the time of meetings: you may easily set up the wrong time, consequently typing is much better. I am reaching out, tracking back old e-mails, and trying to remember the commitments I had before it was all gone. There was a specific reason I loved pocket informant for so long: to not have meetings memorized. Now it turned my days into nightmare. Please, developers should pay attention to this key feature: transferring of agenda from old versions to new ones. If this happens again, I am giving up on the app: updates not reliable to keep up with your agenda? Who wants that?
  • Broken on iPhone X

Some buttons don’t work. Have to keep force closing to get out of certain screens.
  • Could be perfect.

Informant would be perfect if it wasn’t so buggy and bloated with features I don’t want or need. I want and need a great and easy to use Agenda (Calendar/Task) app to make my life easier. In the past, Informant has always been the best option for me on all my SmartPhone OS’s going back about a decade. I want/need to use the default iOS Calendaring & Reminder database for simplicity sake and for easier integration with other third party apps that I choose to use. In many cases, using the default iOS databases is the only way to easily use other apps on all my iOS devices and Mac's. The addition of all the Services and Syncing with other third party apps and the new’ish Informant Service is a buzz kill in practice. It just does not work as easily as advertised and if you turn off the Informant Sync Service you are locked out of the Premium Features to utilize Apples Reminders within Informant. Ugh!
  • Why are people expected to pay for a less than ready app.

    By Patman1
It is still not optimized for iPhone X. The widget dies not work and it continues to have issues highlighted by a previous use. Very disappointing.
  • Pay to sync

    By berdielee
I’ve used and paid for informant years ago. Now I have to pay again just to be able to use the newer version. In addition to that they are now monthly fees to be able to sync when before there were not. I think you are treating your customers wrong to change then twice and for taking away the ability of an app I have allready paid for in the past.
  • Extremely Impressed

Informant 5 is the Best all around App I’ve found having the capabilities to integrate Calendar, Task, Contact & Todo/GTD. Most of the Apps I’ve tried (15 to 25 Apps) are good. But It doesn’t make sense to me to reinvent the wheel all over again every time I want combine my Calendar, Tacks, Contact & Todo/GTD Informant together. What’s funny I accidentally came upon Informant 5, by reading some else’s review on a completely different Calendar. Many of those Apps I've tried good with whistles and bells. But Informant 5 functions so well & It doesn’t feel cheap like some others I’ve tried. I’ve only been using Informant 5 for about two weeks but I’m very impressed. I’ve noticed when I signed up for month by month subscription Informant 5 gave me two free weeks before my subscription activated with the ability to cancel be for they charge me. Youtube has some good short training videos.
  • They got greedy!

Sorry, I used to recommend this app to all my friends and family... never again... are you seriously expecting people to pay an annual subscription to make their tasks appear on the calendar view now? I hope you come to your senses on this. Until then, I’m making sure I help people avoid this app. PS. Your previous version, which I willingly purchased the pro edition for my whole family had this basic feature. Updating after receiving a response from the developer: I have no problem with you running a subscription offer... the problem is you are withholding a basic piece of functionality (displaying tasks on the calendar) as a means to get people to pay. If that’s what you want just make it a fully paid app and don’t offer a free version. What you are missing is the tactics you are using are what are frustrating your previous customers. If you are saying that displaying g tasks on the calendar for free would bankrupt your business then your already done. Good luck. I’m rooting for you to do the right thing.
  • More and More features taken away from original App

    By interlokt
Beware of one-time paid features you pay for turning into subscription “service” at significantly more money I like this app and features but do not appreciate the transition of more core features away from what I originally paid for.
  • Fantastic, flexible, and formidable!

    By mellowmike
I’ve used versions of this since the old Pocket PC days. I've tried many of the others, but the range of features and UI keep me with PI. Scheduling, task management, and even some project management is possible using this app. Highly recommended!
  • Good design too many bugs

    By 338Shooter
I like the features a lot but they aren’t always intuitive to use and it takes 2-3 times as many keystrokes to accomplish the same things as others apps. This app is all-inclusive which is why I use it. Moving appointments and events won’t actually save the changes most times and I find I have to make the changes 3 to 4 times before they stick which is very annoying.
