  • Bad IVs on 5 stars feels bad man

    By S2kazama
I play gacha games other than this one and this is the only game where pulling a 5 star is tenuous. When every other game provides me a 5 star I never question that character's overall worth. In this game a bad IV 5 star can be heartbreaking because that means you probably won't use that unit. This game needs an item to reset the IVs of 5 stars to neutral if you happen to not like the IV you get from summoning, this way at worst it's the stats the character was designed to be.
  • Great game, but here are my complaints

    By Ksixternal
The game starts off very strong and leaves you anticipated for what's to come, but after you sink, hmmm.... lets say about a month into it, you'll have a decent cast of 5 star heroes (unless i was extra lucky), have cleared the story on normal and hard, and have done all of the special chapters on normal and hard, all of which give you 1 orb upon first completion. (Each level of each chapter) New chapters seem to be added somewhat regularly (likely once a month, but this isn't shown in the update history), and there's always events going on, ranging from special stages that give heroes on completion, to an event where certain heroes give you bonus points on this mad dash to get the most points (and rewards, which are very generous and helpful). However, even with the astounding level of detail this game has, nothing seems to save it from being somewhat stale after a while. Reason being, once you eat up that orb pool they let you feast on for a few weeks, you kind of lose the will to play. You could do the arena, and still religiously play the game till all of your heroes 4 star and above are level 40, and now with the support system, there's even more depth to it all, but why? To get a higher rank in the arena? (You get some bonuses from that, but the arena resets weekly so once you get a good score it feels pointless until the next cycle) To complete the story on Lunatic? (Enemies are extremely buffed late game on this difficulty, almost to the point of being unfair. Which is fine, it leaves a lot of challenge) To... wait, if you want all of the heroes, you'll be shelling out hundreds, no, thousands of dollars on that slot machine till you get even 3/4 of them. The game doesn't push you to spend money, which is great, and there aren't even ads, but the prices on the micro transactions are absurd. If you want to do a full summon of 5 heroes, it's going to run you $13... for 5 (3% for a 5 star) chances. If it were cheaper, maybe half of that, i'd probably consider dropping a few bucks here and there to see what i get, but no. I guess they think we're such hardcore fans that we'll literally bleed ourselves dry for them. I'll pass on that. Last part is about the gameplay. It's great, but armored units feel useless since they can only move 1 space at a time, and the maps are so small, that it removes a lot of strategy from the game, not to mention all aspects of main series fire emblem games are removed from this one, such as: 1. defense platforms that heal you a little bit each turn. 2. Chests in hard to reach places that can give you nice rewards. 3. Houses with residents you can talk to that give valuable tips, or small rewards that can help in the long run. 4. Limited weapon uses. (understandable for a game for suited for a casual audience) 5. Character inventories that let you swap from your spear to your sword and gain an advantage mid battle. 6. The weapon triangle is gone, it's now a color triangle, where bows beat flying units as an exception and that's about it. 7. Mid level shops where you can buy new items. 8. No real currency or shops period. (there are several currencies, but none work as a main way to go about doing things. In main series games, gold was that currency). In the end it's a very barebones experience, and there's no real pvp combat, so if you're looking for depth near to what the main games offer, or even challenge and tenseness, wait for a full fledged fire emblem game to make it to the app store, or play a main series game. 5/5 for the first month 3/5 for the time after.

  • One of the best games on the App Store

    By LogiCole__
I've been playing Heroes since release and I've been absolutely hooked. Not a single day has passed where I haven't played at least a stage or two. Initially I went in without paying any money, but due to how generous the game was and how high-quality the gameplay was I decided to spend a good sum because of how amazing the developers are. This game is a must if you love any type of RPG, strategy, or gacha game!
  • Too much downloads

    By Szarco04
I have a personal problem when I open the app. Most of the time I have to keep on downloading game data even if there is nothing new. Also I have to delete some apps I have to download the data but it says I don't have enough space. Is there something I can do?

I saved up some money and spent $75. And the result of the summoning session? 1 5*. If f2p people have better summoning luck and rates compare to those who actually support the game, something is definitely wrong.
  • Fun, I guess.

    By Erron-Black
Ironically I hear people say they can't get into this game because they only enjoy the actual Fire Emblem games. Funny enough I enjoy this, but can't get into the actual series.
  • Pretty good.

Enjoyable game that is challenging and rewarding. The only thing that annoys me is the frequent in-app updates. It won't update in the background because it needs the app to be open in order to download it. So I'm forced to sit for minutes at a time with my phone open on the Fire Emblem App. This prevents me from using my phone to kill time since all I can do at that point is scroll through the character bios that I've read a hundred times over. Is it really to hard to push App Store updates so that I don't have to update the app like this?
