  • I couldn’t have done it without Lose It

    I used this app and lost 30 lbs over 3 months. This would not have been possible for me without the app. Tracking calories was essential to success and the app makes this super easy. You can simply bar code scan most of what you eat or enter it yourself. Exercise is important too but keeping a firm count of your calories is the most crucial. I had been quite a fitness enthusiast but fell off the wagon over recent years and thought I would never be able to bring myself back. I imagined having to adhere to complex diets or eat special foods. But this app made it possible to accomplish my goal without any of that. It’s really a life changing thing to succeed at this and a great deal of the credit I give to Lose It!

    Truly a great app. I’ve tried several others and they never stick. This one is user friendly, it’s so easy to track the foods because the huge list you can search through. I’ve had it for 2 weeks and I’ve lost 10 lbs since day 1!

    The program makes me take a close look at every bit of food I want to eat. That makes me more aware of my food intake. It is my first and only use of this kind of program; my wife had to straighten me out on a few navigational mistakes I made; since then it's been fun to use, and helpful: I am losing weight. :)

    I have used lose it off and on for a few years. The past year and a half I have used it as a premium member. I really love how easy the app is to track my foods throughout the day. It remembers foods I log often, which is so convenient and makes logging quick! I also love the "verified" food calories with a little green check mark! I love that I can set goals, specifically for how many grams of each macronutrient I want and/or percentages for each. I would really love to be able to set a goal for how many servings of fruits and vegetables I want to eat per day! I would also really like to see categories that track caffeine intake based on foods I log. I use lose it in conjunction with Apple health and some categories for nutrition don’t update because lose it doesn’t track them. Would love to see more details in the nutrition tracking to link to my health app.

    UPDATE: I am changing this review because i do not like how they are forcing people to upgrade to premium for a fee. I have used this app for years and slowly they have been taking away features from the free version. Also every time I load the app there is an add to upgrade to premium. Such a shame I loved this app and may need to find another as they are limiting the things free users can access. lose it has been so helpful in keeping me on track. Being able to set goals and see progress has helped me to lose 25lbs. This app has made me more aware of what I eat and portion sizes. I would recommend this app to anyone who is looking for help and motivation.
