Randomly stops playing the radio. When you try to resume so you don’t miss what’s going on, it instead plays one million ads in a row while you’re missing what’s happening.
  • From Great to Unusable

This was always the go-to app for sports scores, but after the last few iOS updates, it’s practically unusable. The app always crashes immediately after launching it the first three times. The fourth attempt is usually successful, but only after about 30 seconds of load time — whether using wifi or not. This seems to be related to the video that always loads at the top. Make the video optional! If I want to watch it, I’ll choose to load it at that time. Horrible. Lastly, the banner of headlines to articles related to your favorite sports teams, displayed near the top of the main screen, are not links to the actual articles. You can’t click on them, so what’s the point? Completely useless!

I figured I just needed a new phone, but it turns out this app is just really slow and broken.
  • Crashes constantly

I use the app to listen to The Lebatard Show live and I can not put the app in the background or lock my phone to save battery or it will crash within a minute. Fix your stuff or pay your programmers enough that they actually care about their work.
  • Current version unusable

The current version iOS 11 is totally unusable. Peters take 30 seconds to a minute to load. Streaming content results in pauses in action constantly.

The app constantly crashes and drains my battery so fast. It’s a shame Espn can’t hire qualified developers to build reliable tech. Their streaming service on the amazon fire stick is also atrocious; its streaming service constantly buffers. Bottom line its frustrating espn controls the majority of sports content and forces users to use it because there arent many options. The least they could do is build reliable tech. Its 2018 for crying out loud.
  • Too Slow

I agree with the review above. I’ve found it especially unusable when following multiple games for fantasy sports purposes. I’ve been using Yahoo instead because it keeps up when I jump from game to game. I always preferred the ESPN app for this because the content was better, but unfortunately now it is too slow.
