  • Never settle for ‘okay’

    By Erik 1331 8
Okcupid seems too willing to settling with ok or even less in terms of what they put into their app. The matching is horrible often getting model level attractive women liking me when they are a) trying to lure people in or b) are fake. Half of the people that are my “match” are fake people. You have lost a customer.
  • Terrible

    By Chris484757
Just silly professional women who think they’re incredible because they got a degree. Or it’s just working class vulgarians. Plus it’s a maze now. You can’t even see messages unless you like someone. You send a message, you cannot see the profile after that. So long, okcupid. hehe
  • Use to be good

The messaging update is just horrible haven’t talked to no one since nothing special now idk why I buy for the app ...someone needs to fix this ...literally not one review this year has been saying different !
  • Hands down the best dating app for the LGBTQ+ community!

I love OKC! I’d TOTALLY date OKCupid if she (he?) were available. They just totally get me. 🙂
  • Ok Cupid is Ok

    By Blue Blair
A lot of changes have taken place since I first used it. The most horrible one being I can’t see my messages unless I like the person. I get that with likes but messages come on. Ok Cupid tells the lie like it was done for user experience but really it’s just another way to get you to upgrade. I
  • They turned it into Tinder

    By Ashalama
It used to be cool, fun that you could chat with someone you didn’t “match” with. Now in order for anyone to see your message or send you one, you have to match first. It’s a tinder copy and now okc is just another dating app. *edit* my point is the whole “message now” feature is redundant if no one will see your message unless you match.
  • New updates

They keep making the phone app more streamline. But taking shortcuts isn’t making the app better.
  • Should not have changed it

    By Quagmire420
Far worse than any other dating app...seriously went from best to worst I mean really 13 people ,,13 ...for 18 to 50 yo’s in a 100 mile range ...and it was expanded to get that many

This app is not secure. I downloaded it one night and made a profile linked to my facebook. The next morning, my account was already hacked. I could barely get onto the app and I couldn't see my profile or change anything. Now I can't access it at all so I assume someone unlinked the account from my facebook and is probably still out there using my profile but I have no way of deleting it and okcupid hasn't responded back to me on their forums. A similar thing happened to my best friend as well. I changed my fb passwords and all that just to be safe, and nothing else seems to have been hacked but this was overall a frustrating experience. Not worth.
  • Messaging Changes Hostile to Customers

    By Stoic Squirrel
Six months ago, OkCupid made drastic changes to their messaging system. The biggest change being that people cannot message one another until there is a mutual match. Unfortunately, this change was poorly communicated to people and most women on OkCupid still expect the man to message first, even though they can't message them until the woman likes them back. These changes were ostensibly done to reduce unwanted messages, but this only works by reducing all messages. Six months later, OkCupid has dug in, in spite of near universal condemnation of the changes here on the App Store, and on their blog post that announced the changes. Coca-Cola backed down from their New Coke formula in less than three months, just for perspective. I've been a paying customer for years and I recently cancelled my subscription and disabled my account. These changes are hostile to the people who use OkCupid, and the tone deaf response to the complaints are equally hostile, after six months.
