Uber is a ridesharing app for fast, reliable rides in minutes—day or night. There’s no need to park or wait for a taxi or bus. With Uber, you just tap to request a ride, and it’s easy to pay with credit or cash in select cities. Whether you’re going to the airport or across town, there’s an Uber for every occasion. Uber is available in more than 500 cities worldwide—download the app and take your first trip today. Requesting your Uber is easy—here’s how it works: - Just open the app and tell us where you’re going. - The app uses your location so your driver knows where to pick you up. - You’ll see your driver’s picture, vehicle details, and can track their arrival on the map. - Payment can be made by credit card, cash in select cities, Apple Pay, PayPal, and more. - After the ride, you can rate your driver and provide feedback to help us improve the Uber experience. You’ll also get a receipt by email. Need a simple way to get from A to B quickly? Take uberX, our most affordable individual option. Want to save money on your ride? Take uberPOOL—you’ll travel with other riders headed your way and enjoy a lower fare. Want to elevate your experience? Take a high-end vehicle with UberBLACK. And there’s still more options—whether you’re traveling with a big group, or need a vehicle with accessibility features. • better payment options

the only money i receive is through child support card and a pay card for work which neither seem to work. i had to switch money over to my debit card but now i’m being charged twice for the trips? i need my money back asap.
  • Nonfunctional

Because this app didn’t work, I walked 2.5 miles in 40 degree weather after an eight hour shift. Before the update everything was fine. Now I can’t even call a freaking ride. There were five drivers six minutes away from me, but the app wouldn’t let me call. It said ‘error, try again later’ every single time I tried. I restarted my phone and tried every single trick I know, but nothing worked. Thanks for screwing me, Uber. This isn’t the first time, but it is certainly the last.
  • Quit tracking me. Otherwise good.

UPDATE September 24, 2017: Uber now allows you to not have your location always tracked! Original Review, April 13, 2017: I was laying in bed one night, and I unlocked my my iPhone, and got a notification that Iber had been tracking my location and whether I wanted to stop it. I had taken an Uber that morning so I guess it had tacked me all day. Uber is a great app and the concept is great, but this recent change where I always need to share my location is ridiculous. Now I say the app can never track my location. Just a bit too creepy to think it might be tracking me. So if I want to use it I need to find a nearby address and type that in as my location. This is a pain. So I've found myself using the Gett app more. Gett's cab drivers want nothing more than to make Uber disappear. Continuing to creep its users out is a quick way for Uber to give Gett more of its business and make their cabbies stronger, who will stomp Uber out in city councils around the world. So, Uber, just stop tracking me please. I want you to win but you're making it hard.
  • Use Lyft

Literally just had a car picking me up, about to get in the car. I had the license and his name but he says he doesn't have me as a rider. I repeat his name, says he doesn't have me as a rider. I say ok, then it gives me a new rider whose 10 min away. Terrible tech. Use Lyft
  • Uber, you're listening and I like that!

Thank you for fixing the GPS options and adding "while in use"!! THANK YOU!! That was my biggest complain. Other than that, it just needs to respond a little faster. I've loved the service I've been getting in the Dominican Republic.
  • Fair and switch

    By betht3
I'm a frequent rider with Uber and Lyft as it's my main form of transportation. As of late I've been having issues on the Uber side. Bad/rude drivers, drivers starting the ride before they have even picked me up, drivers not ending the trip when I was done with the ride and as of recent the fair and switch. I'm very diligent in paying attention to the rates as that is the deciding factor many times when deciding between the two companies. I reached out to Uber today as I was quoted the rate of 29.88 to my destination and much to my astonishment when I received my email on the final price it stated a whopping 57.78. When I reached out their basic answer was "when there is a high demand we update the price to encourage drivers to come to the area." So basically as a company they are stating they will do whatever they want after the fact of quoting a customer one rate but charging almost double after. I refuse to support a company that treats their customers as such. any time I've reached out to customer support, which is harder than you think to get a hold of, it's been a battle, even when I have proof of an incident. What happen to the days of actually talking to a rep on the phone? I'm not always for saying the customer is always right, but when they can support their complaint and they still refuse to adjust or acknowledge, that's when there becomes an issue.

Top result for Burbank Airport is not the terminal, but somewhere random. Caused me to nearly miss my flight.
  • $20 coupon: fyyun

    By uqkoqxty368
First of all, if you haven’t taken a ride yet make sure you use the coupon "FYYUN" to get $20 off your first ride!! Enter it right before you request a ride. Go to the Payment tab in the app and enter the coupon under promotions. Might as well try it out since it won't cost you a thing! The app is simple, easy to use and intuitive by design, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make and model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water, gum and candy!!! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have phone chargers at your ready!!! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a yellow cab again. The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a full refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service!! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away!!!

  • Tried to charge me 15 dollars for a lost item that i didn’t lose.

    By ShaunnieDarko
Uber messaged me saying I lost my keys and my driver returned them and that they had charged me 15 dollars for the lost item service. I didn't lose my keys. They basically just decided to charge me 15 dollars.
