It does not to block against malware or spyware or anything really all it does is collect your information I think it’s more less a virus itself

I updated this and have to re-sign in. No way of contacting them to get new password because I can’t remember. Can’t try to re sign up again because it still says email and password don’t match. So it’s useless for me. iPhone 10, latest iOS
  • Lost

    By Izzyplm
So I had this for my device and my moms device for a couple of years but when I needed it the most it logged me out. My brother was kind of lost yesterday and there was no way of reaching him and this app was my last hope. And alas it had logged me out of my app and desktop... We found him 4 hours later btw
  • No app on Apple Watch since last January

    By jkwskydive
As I am totally deaf, was happy to locate my misplaced iPhone in the hard-reached place like “behind the dresser” by using the bar graph (red, yellow, green) on the Apple Watch. The rate is definitely 5 stars. It really helped me several times. Not only me but many deaf friends mine. Using the ping won’t help me at all. Now the lookout no longer runs on the Apple Watch and it is now useless and helpless. Now the rate is one star. Hope you will re-install the version of “last January” on the Apple Watch. Thanks
  • Non-existent actions

    By Farinco
Have used this app on previous iPhones without a problem. Tried to install it on a new phone for backup feature. Told I need to allow access to my contacts and click the button below to go to settings. The only problem is there is nothing to be found to do so anywhere that I can find. I’m on an iPhone 8 running iOS 11.3. What’s up?!
  • To hard to contact

    By low tech senior
Lookout is to hard to contact. If you find a phone number to call, you tell them what you are trying to do and you are told to email support. This company is making it hard on the customer. It is not customer friendly, so it is not for me. I have given two stars because other things are sufficient on this app.
  • So I hate leaving a 1 star but something is definitely going on lately...

This used to be my go to app for security. It even once alerted me when my SIM card had been secretly removed and replaced without my knowledge. (Another feature that has seemingly gone away).... It got glitchy on me a few months ago... like it kept acting funny then my other accounts got ‘hacked’ so I deleted it. Another anti spyware app that bait and switches me I thought. — then I resigned up about a month ago. However I noticed things were off. Not as ‘clean’ as before. Almost as if the app had been hijacked and we, or some of us were seeing some fake or modified skin of the real app and also getting only limited pieces of its functionality. So it could in return get our LIVES entrusted to the app. To explain: it recently had demanded I keeper my location accessible to it 24/7 to track if its stolen.. otherwise ‘it would start limiting ‘other pieces of its functionality’. Little weird.. but I complied. Next, I tried tracking my phone, and it all of a sudden couldn’t track it through the app, but within the app’s locate tab- it sent me to some jankety looking hyperlink click through which opens up safari and has me then have to re enter my log in info... (this end result of locating my cell phone wasn’t even optimized for mobile use).. after this step, this same 2003 looking website THEN asks me again to test out some instant feature to track another part of their service and prompted me to enter my info one last time before I exited and went to the app. —- maybe this doesn’t seem too odd on the surface. But it’s exactly when companies and sites like these feel just a ‘little off’ when they get exposed as Trojans or malware 6 months later. However, this could be even worse for them and someone could somehow be ratting them. Idk. Or maybe this is the real new and improved functionality of their app. Some more things they need to fix, cuz why stop now. Their ‘social’ fix updates remained the same after I checked and fixed them for several weeks. And still didn’t update this last time before I deleted the app again. They seemingly got rid of the lost sim/ stolen SIM card part of their app which in my opinion was the absolute best part. Or something that put them above the rest. The app crashes a ton. MUST be literally running within your reachability of recent open apps “or it cannot properly function”. And all of its uses go to dirt. Even if you have it set to ‘run in background’ via settings. —- this brings me to the last two days. I have been trying and trying to get this app back on my phone for some illusion of protection but it was impossible. I couldn’t reset my password because none of their links worked. They were just blue writing on a page because when I clicked ‘log in’ that wouldn’t work either. I have never ranted this long but this was one company I would always come back to time and time again, because for 5 months last year to me, they were the best. Either something nefarious is going on that they are unaware of, some of their developers are writing rogue code under and along with good code, or it’s just bad code that glitches and they stopped caring? Idk. That or my phone is allergic to the app and has been for months. So I hope to be able to change the review soon and I hope someone who cares at the company reads this and tries to help people right now. We need a great mobile security app that we can trust.
