Worth the money. Tried duolingo, but they make you type translations in english and if you get wrong answers they lock you out of the app for 5 hours! Rosetta stone is just great native speakers with intuitive images. No english translation or bogus lockouts
  • Easy peasy

  • App Couldn’t Understand Me

I took 4 yrs of Italian high school and 2 in college. I wanted to brush up on some after 18 yrs of not using it for a trip to Italy. For some reason the app could not understand me at all. I tried on my iphone, ipad, wife’s iphone and it simply couldn’t understand me. I tried headphones, no headphones - no luck. nobody will ever mistake me for a native Italian, however I am not unintelligible as this app may seem to think I am. I know I was saying things clearly and correctly.
  • Good app, but not as great as you imagine

Whenever I am trying to learn Japanese, it feels very rushed. You only learn the word once, then have to keep it in your head. And some words they do not teach and expect you to infer it. Not the best language learning app.
