I'm a longtime user of Snapseed, yes I could probably be shown a few new tricks, but I do all right as is... Stark white is not a good background choice, neutral grey would have been preferred, less eye strain... Yes the old standby tools are still present, but rearranged and not as easy to quickly spot the one your after due to no color in the icons... And a new series of what I'd call "presets" has been added for the Instagram crowd who prefer instant gratification rather than spending the time to build an image using the tools... Now if Google would invest the same time and effort in what was formerly NIK Software for the thousands of photographers that love the results it produces rather than putting it out to pasture.

This app is so awesome, I visited the App Store to see if there's a paid version. Ha!

I’ve gone through a lot of photo editing apps, and I’ve been able to distill them down to my top five favorites. Snapseed has been a mainstay in my editing toolkit for several years now, and this latest update supercharges the app. Great work.
  • Not so much

I don't like the newest update 9/20/07. One too many steps to get to editing. It wasn't broken, it worked great. Put it back, please.

  • Won’t save on iPad Air

Since update to iOS 11 the export no longer works. It says it can’t export. Yet when I take the same photo into several other apps, they will save the photo.
  • please change this

this app used to have an amazingly simple UI with precise controls, which I mainly used for cropping. since this recent update, however, the UI is far more complicated and it is difficult for me to get what I need to done. the new white background makes it incredibly difficult to crop things precisely. I much preferred the old, gray one. maybe you could implement a feature allowing users to set the background color themselves. that would certainly solve my problem there. the controls, it seems, have also been changed, however. where I was once able to crop my photos cleanly and precisely, I now have to fumble around for around a minute at a time, trying to position the frame where it needs to be (the white background is also partially at fault here). please change the app to how it used to be. in my humble and honest opinion, these changes are unnecessary and diminish the app's purpose: to be simple and intuitive.
