iOS App Reviews

  • Play as Bluetooth Phonecall

I like the app but wondering why there is not an option for playing voice instructions as a Bluetooth phone call. Google maps and Apple maps and Sygic have this option.
  • Bad map

    By The emusifyer
Ive tried this app every time there's been an update to see if there's been improvements to the map. Unfortunately, this app is unable to find many destinations which has made this app mostly useless. The navigation is actually good if it can find an address as it will offer multiple routes you can choose from. CoPilot just needs a new map and it could then better compete against other navigation apps.
  • A mess

Update: Just to let everyone know, I never could get CoPilot Europe maps loaded on the iPad even though I paid for them. The app insisted I repurchase the Europe maps. As I said below, I've owned CoPilot for 4 years now and can't remember a single year when I've been able to load all the maps I've paid for on all my devices. So, as in the past, I just updated my TomTom maps when I need on-board maps. As this probably marks the end of my CoPilot GPS experiment, I'll make a comment on Support as well. It's pleasant, it's fairly prompt, it's utterly useless. I hear back from them until their suggestions don't improve matters. Then they disappear, never to be heard from again. Prior Review: I've been using CoPilot for 4 years now. Its always been a bit frustrating to use and its constant menu diving to get anything done. But now its become totally useless. I got up at a bit before 4 AM this morning to update maps on 4 iOS devices. Made sure my licenses were recognized -- went fine. Its now a bit past 8 AM and all I've accomplished is downloading a small part of the US map set on 2 devices and Western Europe on the same 2. At this rate it will take me 8 hours to get an updated map set on all 4 devices.
  • Not what I expected

    By raymi0603
I purchased this app because it's the only app that I have found that alerts you on lane changes when exiting a highway. And when I first started using it it was ok, but entering an address is a pain. Contrary to all other apps that automatically know your location and all you have to do is enter the address; with CoPilot althugh it knows your location whenever you enter an address you first have to enter the city or zipcode before enntering and then it provides you a list of assdresse from which you have to scroll down to find the address that you are looking for. This is not eficient. I think I know why it's called CoPilot, because everytime you want to enter an adress you have to file a flight plan.
  • Doesn't work

    By Rock Mon
I've had this app for over a year and it only gets worse. The Ui is trash and the directions are worse this thing has led me to wrong turns too many times. You will spend the money you saved on data in tickets. DON'T BUY!
  • Works great for me too!

    By shimoorek
I live in Japan but when I come home to USA, I have an ease of travel. There's confidence navigating the towns in my home area that has had many changes in development. Thanks CoPilot!
  • Works great for me!

I really appreciate having the maps already on my phone for areas where there is no cell coverage.
  • Useless to me

    By oldarmyfarmer
Out dated maps. POIs nonexistent. Very difficult for me to navigate. Will be deleted from my iPad. Sorry I spent the money.
  • Ruined by outdated maps

You can have the best app in the world but if your data is bad it's completely useless. The app is responsive but that's where it ends. The routing is downright bizarre -- taking the longest roundabout way to get anywhere. It's actually worse than useless. Unfortunately, the maps are ancient. It constantly tries to route me into nonexistent streets and the wrong way onto one way roads. It seems to have no handling for road closures or construction. Since I constantly have to figure things out myself, I just went back to another app. I'll count the purchase price here as a failed in experiment.
  • Low clearance?

    By 1HappyWifey
I bought this specifically to help route our RV, especially through areas that might have low clearance issues. One route in particular I was using as a tester, a route used frequently. I know that there is a major river through town that has a little bridge. The map doesn't even show the river! Is theresomething I'm missing? Notice that unlike most maps, I'm not able to pull up city names, street names, rivers and lakes! And I did purchase the Rv version.
