  • Works great. Needs better support.

Jump is fast and stable - much more so than Microsoft’s Remote Desktop client. I initially thought it didn’t have 4K monitor support but then found the issue was with Windows 7. I was able to find a MS update for my main windows workstation, but then forgot where I got it and haven’t been able to find it for my other machines. In short, works great and is much more stable than Microsoft’s RDP client. I should also note that Jump support has been responsive and helpful for this 4K issue. I’ve been very pleased!

    J. D. is a VNC client that works reliaby and simply in my work with development and image processing with linux machines. I recommend J.D. for work with remote IDEs/terminals and for modest performance requirements involving image/video processing. It has tolerable performance for IDE-work even over older generation home Wifi routers + Cisco VPN; for prolonged work with display>1600x1200, home ethernet (1 Gbit) + VPN is more comfortable. Video streaming over J.D. appears to have ~1-10 Hz updates at ~1600x1200 on a 100 MBs capacity network at work. My servers are running CentOS + tiger VNC. J.D. has all the features I’ve needed for daily use with multiple linux servers for ~4 years and intermittent use previously. I’ve never had complaints. I haven’t made careful comparisons with Jolly’s VNC but for me they appear functionally equivalent. Just today realized that J.D. works for Windows as well.
  • Works Perfectly

    By bmurphy1967
Just writing a review as I searched for a while to find a good RDP for my Mac. I tried all the free (and almost free) apps with limited success. I finally decided you get what you pay for and it worked. It connects every time, no matter where I am. No lags in keystrokes or freezing or hanging up unless the public network connection I’m on is very slow. When that happens I just connect via Personal Hotspot and its full speed ahead again. I also like that the app automatically sizes itself to the screen it’s on so it’s full screen when I’m on the road or in my home office with a larger monitor. I work at home and on the road and our company moved to a new business suite that runs in an RDP environment and is used for almost everything I do. I need an RDP progam that will stay up and on all day, not just something I jump in and out of occaisionally and this one works perfectly.
  • Horrid customer service

    By elkwbow
I bought both the Mac and iOS versions. Set up an account on the Mac, iOS version refuses to recognize that account. I email customer service. Get one email wanting details, which I provide. Then nothing… I just paid a small fortune for apps I can’t use and they refuse to fix it or provide a refund. Complete waste of money.
  • THE remote desktop app

    By Larry F 13
I’ve used this app for at least five years and it has has honestly performed flawlessly. It connects to our remote server very quickly, no lag time on the keystrokes… it does exactly what you need it to do. I run it on my Mac, my ipad and my iphone. There has been many a road trip where I had to access my desktop on my phone for an emergency file and it does the trick. Oh, and here’s a protip: Your boss is on vacation. You cut out early for the day. If you respond to an email from your boss, he or she can totally tell when your email is coming from your iPhone; it is formatted differently than a regular email originated from Outlook. If you get that email from your boss, you log onto to the Jump app, go onto your Outlook and it’s as if you sent it from your very own desk. You think this would be common knowledge, but I can’t tell you how many people i’ve seen send email from their phones in the middle of the day. Rookie mistake! But, i digress… GREAT APP!!!
  • Solid New Features

I just love the ability to scale my remote computer’s (a Windows 10 box) display. It looks great on both my retina MacBook Pro and 5k iMac. This now fully utilizes my Mac’s retina monitors without making my remote desktop fuzzy or small! It’s also very reliable.
  • Shows popups, nag screen

    By Festus Martingale
Mostly works as advertised but shows popup nag screens asking the user to rate the app. Cheesy gimmicks like that are expected in a free iPhone game but unacceptable in a $30 desktop app.
