ParentKit - Parental Controls for iOS App Details

ParentKit is a breakthrough monitoring app for parents. Using this app gives parents the option to set up a schedule and parental control for their child's device. The best part is that you do it from your own device, which acts as a remote. You can now schedule your child's usage on safari, purchased apps and shows, all from your own device. This app allows you to choose what your child can use their device for and when. It’s simple to install, and easy to use. Once the app is downloaded to the parents device, it will prompt you to set up profiles for any children's devices that you wish to manage. Once a ParentKit profile is installed on a child’s iPhone, iPod, or iPad, parents can set up a schedule of their child’s access to Safari, purchased apps, and media, on every device ParentKit is enabled on. Each device can be scheduled and controlled separately, all from the parent’s “remote” device. *We are offering a one month free trial on this amazing new app! *Visit for more information and FAQ *Like us at *Contact us at *Please watch our YouTube channel for instructional videos *Warning* -When scheduling apps the icons will not return to their original folder/location. They will come back in alphabetical order. -Child can remove profile. -When the schedule takes effect, the apps are not deleted from the device, they are just hidden from view. ParentKit may be for you if: -You catch your child watching movies when they should be sleeping. -Your child is playing games when they are supposed to be studying. -You allow movies after dinner but no more Internet. -You allow Internet for studying but want to turn off apps and movies. -Your child is too young to be searching the internet at all. The control is all in your hands.

  • Great tool - availability is issue occasionally

    By EdizPhoto
Worked most of the time delivering the control and time limits I needed. It needs some more granularity at app level. My issues: I had multiple occasions when I was not able to login and modify access. This was the most frustrating issue. Login screen spinner and it said invalid login even though I entered correct info multiple times/
  • Really disappointed

This app is not reliable on scheduling, appears to be server untraceable constantly, which causes the parent control schedule failed all the time. Both kids and parents are very frustrated and we have repeatedly use save to enable phone access. I would not recommend this one and I will remove it from my phone, very disappointed !
  • Kind of love it

So I want to love this but due to a few issues I can't quite love it. The concept is great and being able to switch off all when my child loses electronic privileges is great however for some reason the device doesn't automatically switch on in the mornings. This means every morning after the allotted time my child is in my room asking for her apps. This defeats the purpose of the time and to activate the apps I have to log in to parentkit and hit save again. Some mornings this is a two second thing, others it won't log in and it can take me up to 15 mins to get it activated. As you can imagine this delay causes unnecessary disagreements! I did communicate with the developers and they can offer no explanation of why this happens and suggested it may be due to the age of the child device. 😕.
  • Amazing App!

    By wms1982
I've been using this app for around two years. It works probably 85% of the time. It doesn't always give/take apps on the schedule. For everyone complaining about individual app control-- APPLE DOES NOT ALLOW THAT CURRENTLY. DO NOT BLAME PARENTKIT. Also, if your child removes the profile from their device, be a parent and have a consequence. I told my kids if they remove it I'm taking their apps for 30 days. It's never been deleted. You get an email when it is removed and they can't install it back unless they know your Parentkit password. I wish it would add touch ID to log in though.
  • Not worth the cost

My 10 year old learned to to remove the app from his Profile Management in his device's Settings. He removed my controls on both his iPad and iPhone, rendering this app completely useless and giving him back full control of his devices.

  • Issues in login in + unable to control diff app groups

    By NewLenoxmom
Wanted to use for my border-line addict daughter. It keeps having trouble logging me in - especially when my daughter had the need of an app and wanted me to allow, I would have trouble logging. Was frustrating so am uninstalling it Secondly as others said, it is hiding all apps or none. Kids tend to need music or dictionary or their school app but they are gone along with the social media and games. It is not practical.
  • Suddenly stopped working after 3 months!

    By Zsr123456780
Tried to reinstall twice, no luck. Tried to follow instructions on how to get refund, no luck either! Don't buy it, the free app OurPact works much better and can do everything Parentkit does. Don't waste money.
