  • No Zoom

From other reviews , I knew this didn't have more detail than the paper map it's based on. However some reviews indicated that it was possible to zoom in and get a magnified view--but I can't on an iPad. The maximum zoom is the same as the paper map. Using it easier than unfolding a paper map in the car but there's not much detail.

Over all I am pleased with this app. It serves the purpose of carrying a paper map and is easier to navigate. Did a 3000 mile road trip using this and was satisfied. It may not be interactive or show where the Starbucks's is but it will get you where your going! Hard loaded you don't have to rely on an internet connection which is nice since loosing cell phone service is the goal of most of my vacations!
  • This is a good app.

I think most of the negative reviews are from people who don't understand what an atlas is! This is a book of maps in a digital format. So instead of carrying around a huge paperback Rand McNally atlas you can pull up digital maps that you can zoom in on with adequate detail.

I almost did not buy this due to some of the reviews but am glad I did. This is a electronic version of the hard copy version just as advertised. It is easier to carry around and you can use your fingers to enlarge maps (at least on my iPad). I don't need all the bells and whistles on this app. Just need to see a state just like the paper version. Well done.

These maps are just that and not much good in an interactive world
  • Poor

Better off buying a paper map at a gas station. Poor graphics, no detail when you zoom in. No way to see scale to judge distance. Not interactive.
  • Don't waste your $

This is ridiculous. Just a plan map that could have been downloaded for free. Not interactive or direction useable. What cost $10?
  • Disappointing

Very disappointed with the lack of detail. For a digital product I assumed it would show more than just major highways and two lane highways when zoomed in. Wasted 10 bucks.

I like it but it has no distance page like it does in the paper version. Is this app going to be updated with the distance page ?
