  • Can’t Access Anything

    No matter where I am, rather I’m on data or using perfectly fine internet, the app won’t go any further than a loading screen. Regardless of where I go on the app it’s just endless buffering.

    Super slow, freezes a ton, and don't even get me started on the mobile ordering. A total disaster - don't even try and use it. The stores don't know how to use it yet
  • Great for deals, but double charges for mobile orders

    This app is only useful for finding restaurants & getting meal deals. But to repeat what everyone else is saying, after using the app once to place an online order for pickup, the app charged me $17 three days later for $7 worth of food that I didn't authorize. When I noticed the charge, it had already gone thru my bank. I called to complain, but I'd have to go thru my bank to file a complaint to try to get my money back. BUT they were sending me a coupon for a free sandwich (worth ~$3). Deleted my card from the app and will only use it to get meal deals. Not worth the hassle if I'm going to be charged for phantom orders.

    Doesn’t show any deals, nor does this app work with the mobile order and pay. It’s useless! Why invest so much time into mobile ordering if it’s not even functional!

    I don’t know why does McDonald requires a check in after you have made your order. Once I made an order, that means I want to get it ASAP if I don’t select a time. Look at Starbucks, they start making it once the order is made, which is intuitive for anyone.

    For a large corporation, this app is about the worst. If I were the corporate head, I would hang my head in shame. this app is what your restaurant owners and consumers are to trust and rely on? Like others have mentioned, items stay in the bag from previous orders and can not be easily removed in the app. The items that can not be removed are added to the newly created order, though the item may not be available that time of day. So why can’t the item that can’t be ordered be removed from the bag instead of that item being added to the total of the order you do want? To remedy this obvious error in the poorly designed app, I had to uninstall the app and reinstall it to clear the items in the bag (cart). The one and only time I did use the app, I too was able to place an order for an item that was no longer available in the store and the charge went through without a hitch and even appeared on the receipt in the store. I went to the store to pick up my order and was asked how I was able to place an order for the item they don’t have on their menu. That too is an unsolved mystery. Isn’t this app being tweaked to work out the bugs and inaccuracies along with doing the ever important menu updates? I most certainly don’t get how a chain that has raked in billions over the years can not afford to get a properly designed app. I most certainly feel sorry for store owners, their employees and customers alike. Those that are paying the penalty for the poorly designed app are not the ones that designed it. Come on Mc’Donalds, what are you teaching your students at McDonald’s U?
