Touch Fin RPN App Details

Touch Fin RPN is an RPN financial and scientific calculator that implements most features of the industry-standard HP-12C, including programming functions. It also implements a scientific RPN flavor that implements most functions of the beloved 11C. And even more flavors (10C-like, 16C-like) can be purchased within the app.

  • Great - with one exception

    By chrsfrncs
I love this app- looks and functions just like the real thing. However, I have one problem with the display. Maybe it’s a setting that I can change, but I can’t figure it out. This is not the classic “the comma and decimal are switched” complaint, because I know that is fixable. Rather, my problem is with comma placement. After the first comma separator (between the hundreds and thousands), which is in the right place. It starts putting commas every 2 spaces instead of 3. So 7 million displays as “70,00,000.00”. 700 million displays as “70,00,00,000.00”. So far it doesn’t appear to affect calculations, but it’s really annoying
  • Want an 11c like I had before!!

    By LWB2002
Shouldn’t have deleted the old one before finding out this was a financial calculator - not an 11c. Doesn’t seem to have a way to turn on key clicks either. Should have kept ignoring the pop up window telling me to upgrade! No ads on that one either.
  • iOS asks for my Apple ID login when I launch app

    By Mister Bix
iOS asks for my Apple ID login each time I launch app. Don’t know if this is triggered by app or a quirk in iOS. Solid app otherwise. I highly recommend it if you’re nostalgic for the halcyon days of HP calculators.
  • Odd behavior

    By Huskerfan69
Why is your app the only one that consistently has a window popping up asking me to input my Apple ID password? No other app I have does that. Coincidence or not. You be the judge.
  • Good but ...

    By softwarehobbit
As the owner of a real HP 11C, it’s nice. But a couple of nits: The program does not accept input from a Bluetooth Keyboard. I’m not looking for magic here, but it should accept numerics, Period, Enter, Delete, up/down (roll the stack), +-x/. Maybe also C (CHS) and E (EEX), and CMD-Delete (clear stack) Why if one is has paid for the Premium Scientific calc one does not have access to the basic version?
  • Very disappointed, would like a refund

    By Steelheadhunter
Had the 11c and liked it. Was offered this instead of a refund. Don’t want a 12c, that’s why I purchased the 11c. Recommend spending with someone who supports their product.
  • Why does this app keep asking for my iTunes password?

    By Fornographic
Will delete if it isn’t fixed in update.
  • How to reset?

    By Nemesiss22i
How do I reset my Calculator to decimal point?
  • Keeps promoting for my AppleID password

    By MacJohnMcC
Frequently when I start the app I am prompted for my appleid password. This behavior is unique to this app.
  • Solver error

    By psb22
Solve e^2x - 3e^x + 2 = 0 Input range of .1 to .8 gives the correct result same as a real 15C Input range of 0 to 1 and the real 15C says 0 which is a root. This app returns 1 which is incorrect. I now wonder what other bugs are in the solver. The bug has been fixed. Thank you!
