Kikaida A Year Later, Still Collecting... Yes, Topps added gems which does make it tough to get exclusive cards. That's when you trade. Yes there are some rude and "criminal" traders. So you don't always get what you want and there are bad people in the world. That's life! I started collecting with family and friends, some who don't play as often because they've spent too much time and money, but leave their notifications on in case I need an assist. Through me they've learned moderation. I stand by my earlier review. If anything I've bought more physical cards in ALL of Topps apps. I would not have done so without checking "all cards" and seeing ALL CARDS digitally. And being able to do stuff with family and sharing my rare pulls digitally reminds me of when I was a kid and the comic shop owner would give my friends and I free packs to help him find his rare card and he'd give us the extras for free. Of course we'd be back with money later to see if we could pull a rare of our own. Then I'd trade my dupes with friends. To Topps, the artwork has gotten more amazing! Some card art I've seen as stickers in stores. Maybe one day Topps will add digital stickers for texting? And as much as I hate to admit, digital cards of Kenner toys are cool BUT 3D digital would be way cooler! And maybe more physical giveaways because we can't all make it to Comic Con for exclusives. Open criticism in the reviews. My hats off to Topps for keeping it real! Customer service is informative and for the most part responsive. I do not envy the task of policing the app and weeding out scammers. And if you're wondering, NO I do NOT work for Topps nor do any of my family or friends but I am from a small village and I live by the Paradoxical Commandments written by a local... A long time ago, in a village far, far away...

When the app came out you could earn points and buy cards. There were some really great ones. It was fun to save up points and by the good and rare cards. Then suddenly they changed the system. Now you can only get good cards with cash. A slap to those who had been loving and using the app regularly. I can’t recommend it now.
  • Only good if you have lots of disposable cash...

Topps seems to think we’re all made of money with their latest update. Sure they give you free coins but you have to buy crystals (new way to buy cards) if you don’t want your card to sell out before you can spend their free coins. Stress and disappointment are all that this app has to offer anymore.

This used to be and awesome but now to get packs you gotta spend real money because 95% of the packs cost crystals. The crystal system totally ruined this app. I am done with it.

My son got me into this app. I grew with Star Wars and have throughly enjoyed playing and meeting new people through trading. Since they have started with the crystals you only get the good cards and deals if you purchase crystals. I am not paying for virtual cards with money. Use advertising to make money. So sadly I am leaving the app.
  • New login is crap

We collected over 2 million points and tens of thousands of cards and them Topps changes how the login works and won't let you use more than one fan name across their apps. I had a fan name for each Topps app and now I can't access most of my Topps accounts. This is a piece of junk thought process.I'm out.

Now they implemented crystals which are purchased via your actual currency and most packs now are only obtainable through crystals. Was excited for last Jedi cards only to find of the 4 packs only I could only get 1 with the in game “credits” you earn daily everything else was cash (crystals)

I've used this app since June 2015. The cards themselves are very good for the most part, some outstanding, some just lazy Photoshop stuff. The trading community is above what I expected. But the app itself is frustration on a phone-throwing level. Some examples of recent issues: -Card collections (your own or other users') take forever to populate and sometimes don't at all. I've lost out on trades because I my cards won't load in time to make offers. -All other functions on the app (except, tellingly, purchases) take a frustrating amount of time. Please note that it is neither my phone nor my connection that is at issue. -Scrolling ability suddenly seizes up, and you can only see the first trade in any list of trades. I've lost out on trades because I can't see open trade offers. -When sorting collections (your own or others'), selecting to filter by only 2017 cards ALWAYS returns a result of "No cards found." This makes it extremely difficult to find new base cards, for example, among the hundreds and hundreds released since 2015. -I've twice had to delete and reinstall. Both times, logging back in created an error message that I was already logged in on another device, even though I've used the app exclusively on the same phone since I started. Both instances required help from tech support, which has a 24-hour turnaround time. On both occasions, I lost out on pending trades and also missed daily release windows, forcing me to scramble to find the cards in trades. My cynical side forces me to point out that Topps never seems to miss things that serve them, like pricing updates and push notification ads. It's just the end user who gets the short end of the stick. As a lifelong Star Wars fanatic who collected the real cards back in the day, I was so thrilled to find this app. I've spent more than I'd like to admit on in-app purchases over the past two-plus years. But even the users who don't spend a penny deserve better. I love the content, and I'm kind of addicted to it now. I just wish the app did what it was supposed to do.
  • What was once fun, now not so much.

The recent emphasis towards purchasing crystals to get coveted cards has dramatically lessened my enthusiasm. I’ll wait to grab artwork and pictures when the movies debut.

I love the app, but now since it updated its running really slow. And not fair that you have to spend money in order to get certain packs:/
