  • Doesn’t work with HEIF

    By NeedApple
Any HEIF photos taken with ios11 do not work if you try to edit from the edit extension in photos. I reported this for weeks prior to release.
  • By far the best mobile editing app I have ever used

    By Tcsjack
I was a bit skeptical of this app at first because of the low number of reviews, but once I downloaded it and started to mess around with it I realized how advanced it was. It took a bit of messing around to get the hang of it as there are so many options, but once you get used to it, it becomes easily the best editing app you have ever used, and it's free!!!!!!
  • Top-Drawer Photo Editor!

    By Focused8
I’m a pro photog and digital conversion specialist who has worked oh Capital Hill in DC both as a shooter and a director of a imaging conversion lab at a major museum. I’ve tried and extensively used almost all of the apps on the market ranging from complex content management systems after doing minimal edits in PS and I’ve used apps such as Lightroom and Aperture for many years. I’ve also been a big fan of OnOne software such as their Perfect Photo 10 and now their RAW beta release. Another favorite is MacPhun products such as Luminar. I’m also a dedicated Snapseed user. There are places for all of these apps. They’re all still relevant, in my view. Polarr is no exception, and may, in fact, become one of my go-to apps because I find myself using it more often, especially since acquiring a powerful Windows 10 PC laptop. It’s available on both platforms and that’s important to me. It’s a drag having to pay two sets of fees for both platforms, but then it takes Resources to develop for 2 operating systems. The price is so low that it’s not even close to what one spends on Adobe Cloud apps for just a few months. This app has all of the robust and flexible interface of all of the other apps I’ve used, but if you are looking for the depth of far more advanced programs such as PS and Lightroom, please don’t buy this app and then complain about it not fulfilling your needs. It’s not a content manager. It’s not a DAM (Digital Asset Management) system. It’s a photo editing app, and a dam good one at that! Most importantly in my view, is the ability to save in multiple formats (both lossy and lossless), and the ability to produce gorgeous images without cookie-cutter filters that can’t be adjusted, and can’t be customized. Get the app. You won’t be disappointed. If you are, you’re going to need to spend a lot more money to suit your needs.
